Smoothies by Chef Ankit

Let’s challenge the summer by our refreshing, delicious, nourishes, flavored smoothies.

A smoothie is a refreshing drink made from raw fruit or vegetables. It is prepared by making a puree of vegetables or fruits with a liquid base such as water, fruit juice, milk, and yogurt in a blender. Other ingredients such as crushed ice, sweeteners, honey, sugar are used to enhance the taste and nutritional value of drinks.

Smoothies made up of whole fruits and vegetables, are high in vitamins, minerals, and many other beneficial nutrients. For losing weight, smoothies tend to be a good choice.

It can serve as a cool and creamy drink in the glass. The key ingredients give a true meal replacement.

Let’s introduce the few important ingredients that can be used in smoothie.

Yogurt and milk

Milk and yogurt provide protein which can help to make your smoothie a true meal replacement. Yogurts and milk contain protein, calcium, vitamins, and live culture, or probiotics, which can enhance the gut microbiota. These can offer protection for bones and teeth and help prevent digestive problems. Low-fat yogurt is a useful source of protein on a weight-loss diet.

Vegetables and fruits

Bananas, green apple, pineapple, berries, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, and lemons are my favorite ingredients to add to a smoothie. These nutrient-rich gems add the taste and flavor of the smoothies. Some of them help to reduce the risk of different diseases. Vegetable smoothies are very good options for diabetic patients.

Green leaf

Green leaves are great staples for smoothies. Green leaf, beetroots, and celery are low in sugars and calories. They provide lots of iron, protein, fiber, carotenoids, and flavonoids.

If your kids have a difficult time eating vegetables, smoothies are a great way to increase their intake.

Seeds

Flaxseeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, cacao, maca, berries, Camu Camu, matcha are the few seeds that can be used in smoothies. These seeds help to increase omega 3, brain health, heart care, and provide proteins.
