Hey, I`m Ankit - Chef, Food Blogger & Lifestyle Guide Editor

Hiii All….

I am a chef by profession. I have the privilege of cooking food as per my choice. I love what I do, love all of you, and love this crazy WWW that brings us together.

My name is Ankit Gaurav, my better half Rakhi and blessed with lovely son, my life REYANSH .

I am born and grown up in an Indian village named as Banmankhi, Bihar. My basic has done in Bihar and later completed hotel management degree from NSHM College, Durgapur. I stood 1st position in WBSCTE exams’09 and awarded as Gold Medalist in hotel management by west Bengal state council.

As a chef I started my carrier from Hotel Hilton Garden Inn, Delhi. Later I gained experienced from leading hotel as Taj, ITC, The Metropolitan, and Radisson around the world. I can prepare Indian, continental, Italian, good at soup, sauces, and salads and mastered the skill in preparing the best steaks and grills. You will find best in recipes blog further.

Perusing my career I have gained experienced by the best chefs around the world in Budgeting, food costing, Menu planning, and minimizing wastage.

I feel the cooking sense since the time when my grand maa was cooking the food for entire family on Angithi (An angithi is a traditional brazier used for space-heating and cooking) and used to feed me with her hands while cooking.

The same happened with my mother. She is my first teacher. I love watching her cooking. I would always see her standing in the kitchen and talk to her.

Sometimes she used to ask me to give some spices from the top or else soak the rice in water. This was the basic techniques which I learnt from her. That’s how I started cooking by helping her.

Hahhahaha Still I can remember the first burnt mark got in my hand at the age of five, while I fell on hot vessel while I was talking with my mom in kitchen. Hmmmmm That marks is still in my hand.

Yes I love home cooking; I used to watch while my wife Rakhi cooks food at home. Still I can feel the smell of soil, the affection, trust and everything which belongs from the authencity of my home town.

My blog is for them who want to upscale their cooking skills, for mother who wants to cook for their children in most, authentic, healthy & trendy foods. My recipes are for those couples who wants to surprise each other by their cooking skills perhaps for all of them who wants to become a chef for a while or forever.

Because for me…

Everyone is a chef who cooks the food.

You just start I make you believe that you can prepare the food as per your choice because YOU ARE BEST!!!!

My recipes which I share come from by tasting and investing ideas of a team of professionals, my wife, parents and family. I am thankful to have such amazing people  in my life who share their rich knowledge of cooking.
